The House United took a two-month break from taping and airing new programs due to the bout of illness of host Mary May, and husband Rick's mission trip to the Philippines with fellow Lutheran Church of the Master Member, John Krause.  During that time several of the programs and program series from the past year enjoyed a repeat presentation.

The first program airing after the break was Man of Sorrows (#20), a Lenten and Holy Week program, followed by Resurrection Power (#21) with guest Pastor Morris Vaagenes giving an Easter greeting.

You might also appreciate reading the Pastor Morris Vaagenes' brief biography new in Wikipedia, the free online encyclopedia.  For his full story, including both his life and the development of North Heights Lutheran Church into a mega-church through the power of the Holy Spirit, I invite you to read his excellent book, Church on Fire!, for which all proceeds to go Christian missions in Madagascar.

Airing now is an inspirational program named Take It to the Lord with guest Steve Piepgrass (#22).  Steve shares personal events in his life, and tells about how his faith has carried him through the difficult times--such as the death of his 16-year old son and chronic illness.

Steve also shares two of his own inspirational songs, Take It to the Lord and One Big Family.  These can be seen online through YOUTUBE.

Mary Katherine May, host of The House United, regularly arranges standard hymns and writes original music for use on this show.  The TOP 3 compositions written by Mary Katherine May are as follows.

1. Zacchaeus, the Wee Little Man, or Come and Get It!  You might also enjoy the story Mary wrote that inspired this song, The Government Man: The Story of Zacchaeus, the Wee Little Man.
2. Arise!   An arrangement of God's Son Has Made Me Free (Grieg), Up from the Grave He Arose (Lowry), and Jesus Christ Is Risen Today (Lyra Davidica) for trumpet quartet and organ.
3. O Little Town of Bethlehem, that may be used as a C-instrument or vocal solo.
